On the afternoon of December 14, 2021, our college invited the Voice of the Sea Recitation Association and domestic international students of Shanghai Business School to jointly carry out a poem recitation activity. Due to the epidemic, the event was held online and a total of 84 international students from South Korea, Russia, Uzbekistan and other countries participated online.
Firstly, the students from the Recitation Association showed their wonderful poetry recitation works for international students. Then, they not only taught international students how to recite poems patiently, but also explained the profound meaning of the poems. On the other side of the screen, the international students also read the modern poem "Never Give Up" with the Chinese students carefully: "Trying times will pass, as they always do. Just have patience,your dreams will come true. So put on a smile, you'll live through your pain."
The successful holding of this activity not only enhanced the friendship between international students and Chinese students, but also improved their Chinese expression skills. Helping them understand Chinese culture through the study of beautiful poems is an important part of the "Study in Shanghai" plan. While deepening their understanding of Chinese culture, it also strengthened the international students to know and love China.
