“The world in movies” ——The Lin-Movie film sharing session of the College of International Education was successfully held

On the afternoon of April 19th, our college organized a Lin-Movie movie sharing session for international students with the theme of "The world in movies". By introducing the wonderful films that were huge box-office successes and won public praise in China, this sharing session showed the rapid development of China's Olympic Games, aerospace and technology from a film perspective, and presented a unique and touching beautiful China to international students.

The sharing session focused on the film "My Motherland and Me", a tribute to the 70th anniversary of the founding of China. The film consists of 7 stories, "The Eve",which tells the story of the founding ceremony in 1949, "Passing By", which tells the story of the workers in the development of the atomic bomb in 1964, "The Champion", which tells the story of the wonderful performance of the Chinese women's volleyball team in the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984, "Going Home", which tells the story of the Hong Kong Handover Ceremony in 1997, "Hello Beijing", which tells the story of the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, "One for All", which tells the story of the Chinese female airline pilots in 2015 and "The Guiding Star",which tells the story of the successful landing of the Shenzhou XI spacecraft in 2016. It not only records the history of China from its founding to the present and the rapid changes and development from the macro level, but also selects representatives and special events from all industries, documenting the life experiences of many key figures in history and the exciting points of major events from a unique individual perspective. Through this online activity, the College presented to the international students an excellent film that is ideological, artistic and enjoyable, providing a comprehensive and in-depth portrayal of China's development over the past 70 years.

After watching the film, the international students agreed that the Chinese films were very exciting and interesting, which made them understand the different aspects of China's development.HAQUE MD ZAIZUL from Bangladesh said: "Thousands of years of development and accumulation have turned China into a place of creativity, struggle, unity and dreams, and love for the motherland is the core value of China." Through the introduction of wonderful Chinese films, this online event helps international students understand the development process after the founding of the People's Republic of China, from small figures to major events, vividly showing the simple patriotic feelings of the Chinese people and their hard-working spirit, helping international students to understand the rapid development of China in a more straightforward way and enhancing their emotional awareness of knowing, loving and being friendly with China.
