In order to do well in the evaluation of our university's 2022 foreign student scholarship, on the afternoon of July 20, the College of International Education convened the Shanghai Business School International Student Scholarship Evaluation Committee to hold this year's foreign student scholarship evaluation meeting in an online and offline mode. The meeting was chaired by Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of our College.
Dai Ying, Vice Dean of our college firstly introduced to the members of the evaluation committee about the allocation of funds for international student scholarship and government scholarship for foreign students of SBS this year, the relevant requirements of the Education Commission, the annual evaluation opinions of relative colleges, the application materials of new students and the interview assessment.
Afterwards, the members of the evaluation committees completed the annual evaluation of the scholarship for current foreign students and the evaluation of the enrollment of the scholarship for foreign students in the grade of 2022 respectively after thorough discussions based on the actual situation.
In the end, He Ying, Vice President summarized the evaluation meeting and pointed out that the meeting focused on the risk points in the management of international students in the inspection "look back", standardized the previous scholarship evaluation norms on the basis of the newly revised application and management methods for international students scholarships and government scholarships for foreign students of Shanghai Business School, and promoted the annual scholarship evaluation preparation work in a solid manner.She proposed that the scholarship evaluation work must pay attention to the following points: firstly, the pursuit of fairness, the scholarship evaluation work must form the rules and methods, strictly follow the corresponding rules of fair evaluation; secondly, the pursuit of complete, scientific, reasonable and orderly procedures; thirdly, the pursuit of positive incentives, through the scholarship evaluation work, to encourage and motivate outstanding students, to enhance the quality of students; fourthly, the pursuit of diversity, to strengthen the linkage with the colleges feedback, from moral quality, academic performance, language ability and other comprehensive evaluation. She also emphasized that the scholarship evaluation work should be constantly updated and revised according to the requirements of the international development of the university and the annual enrollment, so as to improve the evaluation level and quality and absorb more outstanding students.
The successful holding of the evaluation meeting not only clarified the standardized process of scholarship evaluation, but also strengthened the requirements and standards of international students' management under the secondary management mode, laying a solid foundation for the solid promotion of international students' management.
