On the eveningof August 3, 2022(GMT+8), theopeningceremoniesfor Seminar on Financial Management for Developing CountriesandSeminar on Scientific and Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Developing Countries,hosted bytheMinistry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) wereheld online.Chen Wei, executive vice dean of International Education College of Shanghai Business School attended theactivities.Dong Huiliang, professor from the College of Finance and Accounting, and Han Bo,ProjectDirectorofShanghai Free Trade Zone United Development Co., Ltd. attended the opening ceremonies of the twoseminarsrespectively.
Chinese President Xi Jinping put forward a global development initiative at the United Nations General Assembly, which aims to promote the international community to refocus on development issues, and has contributed Chinese solutions and Chinese wisdom to solving development problems. During a series of major multilateral events and bilateral high-level mutual visits, President Xi Jinping expressed his willingness to closely cooperate and support each other with the vast number of developing countries, so as to enhance the level of exchanges and cooperation in various fields. The holding of the twoseminarsis a practical move to implement the foreign commitments of the national leaders and strengthen exchanges and cooperation among developing countries, which will help enhance exchanges between China and various developing countries in the field of capacity building for officials and promote international development cooperation.
Chen Wei said that the two seminars, led by promoting the building of a community of human destiny, aim to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and the participating countries in the fields of financial management and scientific and technological innovation and entrepreneurship, to open new windows of opportunity for China and the participating countries to complement each other's advantages and develop together, and to provide new development opportunities to enhance the well-being of the people in each country.
Dong Huiliang and Han Bo spoke as representatives of experts. They said that through the exchange of learning in the seminar, they hoped to enhance the friendship among theparticipants, deepen the understanding between countries, and promote multilateral cooperation.

Ms. Lika Safrina, Modeling and Digital Planning Officer of ASEAN Energy Center, representing the participants of the workshop on technology innovation and entrepreneurship in developing countries, said that the emerging digital technology has penetrated into all aspects of life, and the Chinese government organizing the seminar on technology innovation and entrepreneurshipfordeveloping countries at this time is a friendly move to help the majority of developing countries, hoping to gain wisdom and experience from the sharing of Chinese scholars.
